I believe we have the ability to change how the world works. And I believe one person can make a difference. And, to that end, this site is dedicated to my making a difference in the way I interact with the earth through consumption.

I recently started changing the way I was a consumer. After years of ill health, I decided I was too young to feel this old. I started researching why I could be feeling so "old" and found much information on what to do about it, from the extreme conservative corporate culture to what I considered the "far out." The corporate end of things told me I simply needed more pills, more retail therapy and basically... more more more. The 'far out" side told me I could cure myself, alone or with alternative medicines and devices. I came to realize that although I cannot simply stop being a consumer, I can be an educated and "healthy" consumer.

Our world offers a lot of choices, but not many choices currently are focused on sustainability nor on truly healthy items. I made a committment to finding items that were healthy, and businesses that were concerned about overall sustainability. I wanted, specifically, items that I use everyday to be healthy alternatives to what I have now. And I wanted only to work with businesses with integrity. So here you can find the items I am interested in promoting because they are healthy and the business is concerned about what is good for us and the earth. The businesses chosen do not allow children's slavery in third world countries to make their goods, and whenever possible, do not use any more packaging than necessary. These businesses make sure the items they sell are good for the body and are made of environmentally sound quality ingredients that won't harm the earth when you are finished with them. Most of these businesses work on word of mouth and network marketing, as the corporate world is not yet ready for these to be mainstream. But all are high quality and are my favorite items for many reasons....

Comfort is Important in the basics!

So, for my first post - on the staples in life...

Good comfortable underwear!

So, like me, do you find your stupid lacy women's underwear likes to hike up your butt when going hiking?
And do you hate how the fabric heats you up when you're already overheating? (Especially when in menopause.)
What about trying to find something that will look good under the unlined sexy pair of pants you just bought?
Or have you ever tried to find something easy to pack that dries quickly when you are travelling only to find the items don't live up to the ads?

For all of these reasons I HAVE to tell you about a new line of underwear I just found.

Made of silk, it replaces all my old stuff. I hate nylons and refuse to wear them, and there is an answer here to the "no panty line" and the need for a smooth line under a form fitting skirt or pant.
